WILMINGTON, Del. — Faster than a speeding bullet, the Archer Group, Delaware’s largest agency focused exclusively on interactive marketing, has put “Superman Doomsday” on myspace.com

“Superman Doomsday,” the eagerly awaited, original, made-for-DVD movie produced and distributed by Warner Home Video, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics, will be released Sept. 18.

By creating the myspace page, www.myspace.com/supermandoomsdaymovie, the Archer Group, in partnership with Silicon Ridge, Inc, is building anticipation for the movie’s release and giving fans of the Man of Steel around the world the opportunity to chat about the movie on one of the Web’s premier social networking sites.

“The made-for-DVD movie is a new phenomenon in the entertainment industry and such innovations call for innovative marketing,” says Lee Mikles, CEO of the Archer Group. “Through the myspace page, thousands — perhaps millions — of Superman fans will view the trailers, watch the sizzle reel and see and talk about the latest Superman news in the weeks before the movie’s release.”

Social networking sites like myspace.com can be a powerful marketing tool to reach the new generation of Superman and animated film fans who are not regular users of traditional media, Mikles says.

The “Superman Doomsday” project is a natural for the Archer Group. Interactive marketing is the company’s primary business, and it has handled other assignments for Warner Home Video, most notably developing the award-winning Web site for its Classic Films Collection.
