The Archer Group, the Delaware Valley’s fastest-growing interactive marketing firm, took top honors for interactive websites in the annual ADDY Award competition sponsored by the Philadelphia Advertising Club.
The Wilmington-based agency won the club’s gold award for the Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum website it created for the Kobrand Corp., the exclusive U.S. importer of the iconic 260-year-old premium brand.
The website features individual pages dedicated to each Appleton Estate brand offering, highlighting its distinctive flavor profile created from the Estate’s masterful blending of flavors. The site includes cocktail recipes as well as expertly designed recipes for appetizers, entrees and desserts to be paired with each product, and brief “how to” videos to help users perform professional bartending techniques.
“Appleton’s position as a premium spirits brand set a high bar for our team when developing the website. Winning a gold ADDY tells our team that we hit the mark,” said Todd Miller, managing partner at Archer.
The Archer Group also won a silver ADDY in micro- or mini-sites for “Create Your Popside,” an online micro-site utility developed for the Investment Technology Group (ITG, Inc.), to parallel the research broker’s new advertising campaign. “Create Your Popside” lets users upload a photo, add a humorous caption, and have it stylized in pop art form. ITG asked Archer to create a micro-site that would build its brand while offering a bit of stress relief to the busy portfolio managers who make its client base.
The ADDY Awards, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), are the industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence. The Archer Group competed with dozens of Philadelphia and New Jersey advertising agencies for these prestigious awards that recognize the creative talent within the industry.
