User Testing Lab

A well architected user interface is built upon knowing where users look, not just click.

Archer’s User Experience Architects are able to integrate actual user testing data from our user testing lab to build better web solutions. Using the latest generation (space-age even) eye-tracking technology from Stockholm’s Tobii Technology, we are able to capture where a user’s eyes travel on the screen as they surf from page to page.

The eye tracking system produces visual ‘heat maps’ of where users gaze concentrate on the screen, clearly showing where people are looking. Individual ‘gaze plots’ show how an individual user traversed the page, which can be combined with video or the test subject to provide a detailed perspective of specific usage.

Studying multiple users enables our User Experience Architects to make specific conclusions about the effectiveness of a website. Combining these findings with our more traditional usability assessment techniques results in concrete recommendations to improve the effectiveness of a web strategy.
