As part of our site launch for the Wawa “Dress Up Your Bottle” site, we thought it would be fun to include a short video to promote the “Win a Truckload of Tea” contest. We had a simple idea of creating a fictional scenario showing the Wawa “Prize Patrol” hustling off to the future winners house to deliver the prize, a year worth of Wawa Iced Tea.

The catch? We only had a few days to plan, shoot, and edit.

So, Archer Creative Director Todd Miller and I set out for our locations, consisting of Wawa Headquarters and Todd’s house in Media, PA. Armed with a loose storyboard, a Canon XHA1 Hi-Def video camera, and a 7.5-foot-tall goose costume, we headed out to get the job done.

Our one-day shoot schedule went off with out a hitch. Our partners at Wawa not only supplied us with top-notch talent for our main characters, but also supplied us with an authentic Wawa delivery truck and driver for the day!

Everything was cut together using Adobe After Effects, and the final product was then sent off to our good friends at Bozeken for scoring and sound effects.

The whole project came together very well, and we couldn’t be happier with the final results. Check it out on the site at www.dressupyourbottle.com/#/contest. Oh yeah, and enter the contest while you’re there for a chance to win a year’s supply of Wawa Iced Tea!
